America's Frontline Doctors sued in wrongful death case
Patient was prescribed hydroxychloroquine for Covid via tele-health
America’s Frontline Doctors, the pro-hydroxychloroquine, pro-Trump physician organization, is named in a lawsuit out of Nevada concerning the death of a patient given hydroxychloroquine for Covid prevention. Jeremy Parker sought out treatment with the drug - which has no use against Covid but carries a known risk of cardiac rhythm disturbances in certain individuals - after seeing online disinformation from AFLDS.
He was treated by Vegas area family physician Dr. Medina Culver via tele-health (no physical exam or EKG) in August 2021. It is not clear whether Culver, who has built up a sizable following as an Instagram influencer, was part of Dr. Simone Gold’s fraudulent organization or just hopping on a profitable internet trend.
Known AFLDS member Dr. Ryan Cole’s use of tele-health for prescribing unproven Covid “early treatment” was a focus of the letter sent to him last month by the Washington Medical Commission. It highlighted four patients harmed by the rogue pathologist’s remote care.
AFLDS’s tele-health misuse was of interest to the Special Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis. However, the physician group appears to have ignored requests for financial information about their platform ‘SpeakWithAnMD’ and it seems this was not pressed further. The Subcommittee released its final report in December, which named AFLDS only briefly.
The tragic case of Jeremy Parker highlights the need for actual oversight of physicians. Cardiac risk from HCQ was discussed in the spring and summer of 2020 when Trump was promoting it. It shouldn’t have come to this.
I actually have been watching Meryl Nass’s hearing - seems to me she was doing her doctor-patient duty - that drug has been used for such a long time as an off label drug- they take it as their “Sunday medication” in Africa for example. I know - I lived there. it’s an antiviral. Stops the cell from replicating. so why wouldn’t you take it knowing it’s safety record. Good will overcome the evil in this world one day. I hope I am able to live long enough to see it happen.
