Openpayments released 2021 data on Dr. Peter McCullough’s payouts from supposed enemy ‘Big Pharma’.
After raking in $163k in 2020, McCullough took a sizable cut to just $93k. What is not clear is how much money he is getting from his new friends in politics through their network of 501c3 charitable organizations. Their insurrectionist colleague Dr. Simone Gold went to prison having ignored letters from the Covid Oversight requesting information into their tele-health grift but the estimates are in the millions.
McCullough, a doctor formerly in the lucrative field of cardiology, has taken millions from Big Pharma since 2014 but his ability to take part in Small Pharma grift increased sharply during the pandemic, thanks to the anti-vax lobby that, as Dr. Peter Hotez told Joe Rogan, “owns the internet”. Pre-pandemic Gold, a doctor trained in emergency medicine, had puzzlingly been going directly to consumers by offering concierge medicine services.
McCullough has long been shady about his finances. I would refer everyone back to the 2012 OpEd in MedPage Today that discussed his own heart journal’s “tangled web of conflicts”.
His motivation may very well just be money but he has partnered with extremely dark characters in politics through the Unity Project here in the US/Canada and Pandata overseas. See the UK-based Counted Disinformation Project for more on this arm of the Bannon disinformation network.
McCullough and his Unity Project colleague Paul Alexander were named in the newly released Covid Oversight Select Subcommittee report “A Knife Fight with the FDA” alongside Senator Ron Johnson, Jared Kushner, Fox News, a Henry Ford Health System doctor, and Dr. Oz. Of course, Dr. Oz has long been at the forefront of health disinformation for personal profit (10 houses!) just like his friend Dr. Mercola.
The emails included in the full report are incredibly damning and include Johnson’s acknowledgement of the “moral aspect” of “the lives lost - and the political danger” of pushing hydroxychloroquine in an email with McCullough — and Peter Navarro.
Just before the release of the blistering report, McCullough was on Dr. Oz’s fellow Oprah Grift Club member Dr. Drew’s Twitter live to continue to push their “early treatment” cash cow. Those giving him a platform also profit.
He is still successfully convincing vulnerable individuals in the public that he is the hero and people like me who call out his lies are the enemy. This is no different than Trump promising to drain the swamp. Surprise! He was the swamp, backed by the Shadow Network of Bannon’s Council for National Policy.
We cannot continue to give Trump and those who aligned themselves with him power in politics, medicine, or the media. They cannot be trusted with their licenses — or their public-facing platforms. This is a matter of public safety and democracy.
There is ongoing risk with people like Dr. Oz, Dr. Scott Jensen, Ron Johnson, and Ron DeSantis making attempts to gain further power in the political arena. They have had much to say this pandemic but have said nothing about their finances and financiers. I can only hope they are called to do so under oath.
Laughably, McCullough has contributed to a Koch Industries-funded public health “ethics” paper with Great Barrington Declaration authors and Unity Project members. They posted it on Twitter, the platform they are suing for “silencing” them and “violating their First Amendment rights”.
As for Ron Johnson, he is back with the worst of them, Substack’s own Steve Kirsch.
We know what they’ve done. They know what they’ve done. It’s time for the general public to learn as well. Sunlight is a powerful disinfectant.

There was a youtube video where even lunatics Kevin McCairn and Richard Fleming talked about Malone and McCullough's propensity for hiding COIs at speeches and events. McCullough would actively say he had none to declare and then make up excuses when challenged.
