Robert F Kennedy Jr., the heir to the Kennedy political dynasty and environmental attorney turned anti-vax “charity” emperor, is officially running for president…as a Democrat. To understand how we got here, read the work of Dr. David Gorski who has been following the Kennedy family’s black sheep for years before RFK Jr. used the Covid-19 global pandemic as a money and attention generating opportunity.
RFK Jr.’s curious candidacy, allegedly encouraged by farthest-right Steve Bannon, is just another opportunity for the anti-vax political movement to maintain their place in headlines - and tend to its revenue stream. Bannon, the former Council for National Policy member who brought us Trump’s 2016 electoral win and disastrous presidency, reportedly sees the Kennedy black sheep as another “useful chaos agent”. For what it’s worth, Bannon has plenty of his own chaos to deal with but has shown no sign of stopping his international quest to destroy democracy, even in the face of imprisonment.
RFK Jr. lent his existing anti-vax empire, Children’s Health Defense, to the far-right Covid era anti-vax movement. Early on in the pandemic, Kennedy was on the church tour circuit with America’s Frontline Doctors’ future insurrectionist leader Dr. Simone Gold which led to the unvaccinated death of their financial donor DayStar host Marcus Lamb. She’s been on the QAnon ReAwaken America Tour with Mike Flynn and Eric Trump both before and after her brief imprisonment for her participation in the January 6th Capitol Attack. “Democrat” RFK Jr. has rubbed some of those same extremist shoulders.

AFLDS is now trying to oust Gold over her personal use of their funds and she faces medical board discipline for her insurrection involvement (not yet for her spread of deadly anti-vax disinformation or the stalking and ambushing of California Medical Board president Kristina Lawson by Gold’s AFLDS henchmen). RFK Jr., suddenly remembering he is a lawyer but forgetting which type, has been part of the legal effort against California legislation to hold disinformation doctors like Gold accountable with loss of medical licensing - legislation in line with the 2021 Federation of State Medical Boards warning.
While fellow agent of chaos Gold gained membership to the secretive Council for National Policy that created her organization and shot her into right-wing stardom for Trump’s 2020 re-election season, AFLDS appears to have aligned itself with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for the 2024 presidential race. Both AFLDS and the GOP have struggled to shake MAGA as the CNP has given so much power to the extreme of their base that it now controls them. Just to be safe and hedge their bets, the CNP hosted their latest event at the Trump Doral. While RFK Jr.’s run as a Democrat is destined to fail, Trump’s candidacy - even after his recent arrest - is not out of the question for the Banana Republican Party.
Given his deep involvement in the far-right anti-vax movement, RFK Jr. will have a difficult time convincing Democrat primary voters of the authenticity of his candidacy. This is the man who made an anti-vax film targeting the black population in Summer 2021 AFTER they had already been disproportionately affected by Covid in the initial outbreak thanks to systemic inequity. He further alienated himself with his anti-semitic rhetoric at Defeat the Mandates where he compared the plight of the unvaccinated to Anne Frank - which prompted admonishment from the Anti-Defamation League and a (since deleted) call out by Kennedy Jr.’s wife Cheryl Hines.
Defeat the Mandates was another dalliance with pro-insurrectionists for RFK Jr. He sponsored and spoke at the event alongside Del Bigtree, the MAGA billionaire, Stop the Steal speaker, and anti-vax filmmaker colleague of original anti-vax fraud physician Andrew Wakefield. As a Defeat the Mandates speaker, Bigtree leveled up on RFK’s Holocaust talk, calling for “Nuremberg 2.0” for pro-vaccine doctors, politicians, and journalists. The man behind Defeat the Mandates, tech millionaire Steve Kirsch, announced a Super PAC to fund RFK Jr.’s candidacy.
Steve Kirsch - who is no fan of mine - has been a very useful yes man to Steve Bannon and has helped fulfill the Bannon promise to “flood the zone with shit”. Like many of the big name anti-vax doctors, Kirsch has appeared on Bannon’s “War Room: Pandemic” podcast. War Room guest, Joe Rogan Experience guest, and Ron Johnson panelist Dr. Peter McCullough was revealed to be part of a Bannon-tied network in the HART leaks out of the UK. McCullough is a member of two DTM-sponsor organizations: The “Unity” Project and Kirsch’s Vaccine Safety Research Foundation. The VSFR, which hosts all sorts of extremists on its weekly call, is a follow-up to Kirsch’s failed Elon Musk-backed Covid Early Treatment Fund that happens to have picked up the web domain for the pharmacy tied to AFLDS. Steve Bannon says, “There are NO conspiracies, but there are NO coincidences”. There is very clearly plenty of conspiracy here but I’m inclined to believe there are very few Bannon coincidences.
Like his backer Kirsch, RFK Jr. is another prop to hold up Bannon’s failing movement. Bannon will go down, so will Trump. That will not rid the country of Bannonism and the deadly attack on truth he has orchestrated as plenty are waiting in the wing - the right wing - for an opportunity to assume their places. The left can laugh off RFK Jr.’s internal threat to their party but they cannot continue to ignore the threat that his extremist anti-vax movement from a rogue Republican party poses to democracy. Ignoring populist anger is how we got President Trump in the first place.
