Recent polls show suspected spoiler for Trump independent candidate RFK Jr. taking more votes from Trump than Biden. Naturally, Trump took a break from court appearances to post disparagingly about RFK Jr. on Truth Social.
I have previously discussed some of RFK Jr.’s involvement with MAGA pandemic politics, from pushing hydroxychloroquine with Dr. Simone Gold.

UPDATE: RFK Jr. responded to being called a “Democrat Plant” by Trump, branding the former president “unhinged”…and then called for Biden to drop out of the race, claiming the current president is the “real spoiler.”

RFK Jr., who lags Biden by roughly 30 points, justified this move using a poll discussed here.
As a reminder, in addition to playing a crucial role in MAGA's pandemic attack on public health as I discussed in my latest article, RFK Jr./CHD has been involved in lawsuits against accountability for physicians who have played along.
And RFK Jr. participated in Rep. Jim Jordan's Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government attempt to smear the Center for Countering Digital Hate. Ranking Member Rep. Stacey Plaskett provided sharp commentary on how this anti-anti-conspiracy work was in service of MAGA.
Trump and RFK Jr. are bloviating showmen who rely on conspiracies to prop themselves up and there are more than a few deeply concerning ties between their campaigns. It's difficult to tell if this is a fight for show. But Biden is obviously not the spoiler candidate.
