Wisconsin Supreme Court bucks ivermectin case

The Wisconsin Supreme Court agreed to hear an ivermectin case this year. They have voted against forcing a hospital to give the anti-parasitic for Covid-19, a virus it has no effect against, after a case was brought forth by a patient’s nephew. His uncle had obtained a prescription from a retired doctor who had not met the patient or spoken with his medical team and the hospital treating for Covid appropriately refused to administer the medication as it “did not meet their standards”. The court decision was made in a 6-1 split by the still conservative majority court with Justice Rebecca Bradley the lone dissenter.
The American Medical Association wrote about this lawsuit last December and, as Becker’s Hospital review reported, their legal arm filed an amicus brief in the case along with the Wisconsin Medical Society in support of the hospital being sued.
Ivermectin prescribing is central to the letter the Washington Medical Commission sent to America’s Frontline Doctors member Dr. Ryan Cole outlining the charges against his state medical license. He has retained his Idaho medical license and public health board position despite complaints against it and a malpractice lawsuit against him in the state. Pro-ivermectin American Frontline Nurses leader Nicole Sirotek was removed from her Nevada Board of Nursing position following organizing by nurses.

Ivermectin has been promoted as a Covid cure by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), who had previously promoted hydroxychloroquine. He has continued to work with the pro-Trump, pro-hydroxychloroquine AFLDS, including Cole, and has yet to admit the failure of either drug against the virus that has killed over a million Americans. He has continued to crusade against the Covid vaccines that have saved millions in favor of political anti-science that has senselessly claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans and is an embarrassment to the state.
